Don’t look now, but the Athletics have finally secured some sponsors.

That’s right, read that sentence again and let it sink in for a moment; that can’t be right?

Don’t look now, but both of those things are becoming more of a reality as the days go by, and with 1 season left in Sacramento. Yes, the A’s are moving to Sin City, and yes, the stadium is almost constructed. Deniers might want to bury their heads in the sand a bit longer, as John Fisher and management cash in on their dream of moving the team to Vegas.

You can say, “I’m never going to set foot in that new stadium” or “I’ll never watch another A’s game again as long as I live!”, and we all know these are lies. Besides, going to the grave with so much hate isn’t healthy, and we all know you’ll love the new stadium and roster.

So kick back, grab a drink, and get ready to welcome the Las Vegas Athletics for the 2028 season and enter Circa Sports.

First Investors and Now Sponsors

Not only is Mark Cuban contributing money and investing in the Athletics, but they’re also gaining steam by attracting sponsors, since corporations and entities see that the A’s are serious about making Las Vegas home for decades to come.

Ready or not, here they come, as the A’s are attracting sponsors like Circa Sports.

Circa becomes the 1st founding partner of the Athletics, teaming up with Circa Resorts & Casino and Circa Sportsbook. Their partnership will show up on the field, with Circa offering “Time of Your Life” seats at the ballpark. With these seats, you’ll connect an MLB game with your resort stay in a packaged deal. This is just the first of many such partnerships with the Athletics, and many more are likely to follow as hotels want to partner with the A’s to offer ticket deals tied to a stay.

Circa will also offer features like Dugout tickets and will have 54 tickets to each A’s home game. For those traveling to Vegas internationally, this is huge, as some might have no plans with the plethora of things to do in Vegas, but now they have a pair of tickets to enjoy a game out on the Strip.

A free game leads to tons of revenue from other purchases, like concessions and apparel, which I’m sure won’t be cheap in Las Vegas. Circa will also be the A’s official sportsbook and serve as the official resort.

If You Build It, They Will Come

Look for more sponsors to pour in when the stadium’s completion becomes ever so evident. I imagine the stadium will be completed around June 2027 since the groundbreaking was June 23, 2005. John Fisher might want to finish it before the groundbreaking date to say he got it completed in less than 3 years. 1 more year in Sacramento, so expect the A’s to go all out with promotions and giveaways this year.

The Athletics and John Fisher will leave at least one silver lining on their way out the door: allowing MLB and fans to show that Sacramento can host an MLB team and attract fans. The A’s 3-year stint in Sacramento has given the local community a chance to experience an MLB franchise, even though their stadium also hosts the San Francisco Giants minor league affiliate, the Rivercats.

Supposedly, the deal with Circa is for 10 years, and this follows their 3-year deal to advertise in Sacramento from 2025-2027, which is why you see Circa advertising at the ballpark in Sacramento.

Stay tuned, as there is sure to be more to come besides Circa as the move inches closer and closer.
