With training camp starting and recently open to the public as early as July 26th, 2026, the 49ers are in full form, and so are the fans who packed lines and buses to attend the latest camp dates.
2026 Training Camp Is a Must
The usual stigma about the camps has centered on the ability actually to get tickets to any of the camp dates. Season ticket holders had the best bets as they had an earlier shot to grab tickets than the general crowd.
For season ticket holders, tickets were $10, and it was double that for the general public at $20, with funds going towards the 49ers Foundation. Remaining camp dates are July 31st, August 1st, 3rd, 6th, 8th, 10th, 11th, 15th, & 16th.
If You Can Get Tickets—Go!
If you can get tickets to any of the open camp dates for the 49ers, I highly suggest that you go, as it can be an experience of a lifetime. So cancel that meeting, start your cough for missing school, and get those notes ready for employers, as it’s summer and the NFL season is kicking off. Just make sure when you’re coming to 49ers camp to have an item for players to sign, and the more innate the item, the more likely a player is to sign it, and don’t forget to bring your own Sharpie pen for autographs, as 49ers staff wasn’t providing all players with pens for signatures as in previous training camps.
It doesn’t hurt to bring players their favorite treats either, as I’ve seen people bring Oreos to Fruit-Roll-Ups to exchange with players for an autograph.
Try to let kids in front of you if they’re shorter, as it’s moments like this that will shape their future regarding the team, and it’s always about the kids.
What to Expect
What can you expect at camp? Patience is key, and it all goes by pretty fast. Parking lots to Red Lot 1 right outside the stadium open up strictly at 8 am. Don’t get there any earlier, as I did, or you’ll be turned around and told to come back at 8 am, which I did. So, parking lots open at 8 am on the dot, and as far as the line to get onto the buses to transport you to the practice field, it gets going at about 8:45–9 am.
Once you get off the bus, you’ll head to the practice field to choose your seat; 49ers staff seat from top to bottom unless you’re ADA or have a child/stroller, in which case the first row is open. Your designated seating area is printed on your 49ers/Ticketmaster ticket. Practice starts at around 10–10:15 am and lasts till about 12–12:15 pm.
When you hear that double horn, that means the 49ers have ended practice for the day & time for autographs and pictures.
Is It Worth It?
Many ask, what are the chances of getting a good picture and/or autograph with players, and I would say pretty good if you’re patient and assertive. Whether you’re an adult or a young child, there has to be some respect amongst fans, so once you get that autograph down, duck down or move so others may have a chance at that player.

I’ve been lucky enough to get Christian McCaffrey last season, and I just so happened to get one from Purdy, which is super rare.
I’ve been going to training camp for more than 20+ years, and getting star QBs’ autographs isn’t easy.
The best thing is to go in with no expectations, just have fun, and make sure others do as well.
